Both the NHC and Reask LiveCyc pin the nominal 00, 06, 12, and 18 UTC forecasting cycle hours. The standard times for the NHC tropical cyclone advisories are three hours after each of those forecasting cycle times at 03, 09, 15, and 21 UTC (or 11:00 PM, 5:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 5:00 PM EDT). LiveCyc initiates on NHC updates, so a LiveCyc file labeled 18 UTC would be associated with the 21 UTC NHC update.

The pace curve is the 1991–2020 formation calendar in the NHC best tracks, so the blue line shows where an average season stands on this date.
A point is red for a major hurricane, orange for a hurricane, blue for a tropical storm and pale for a depression or remnant. The map’s advisory number is the one carried by the geometry, which can trail the roster’s by one advisory for a few minutes after an update. Times in point labels are NHC’s. Exchange prices are the Yes price in cents, midway between the Yes bid and one dollar less the No bid (there are no sellers on this exchange, only bids to buy Yes or No), as published at the time shown, not fee adjusted; the small grey dots are the 163 reference locations the exchange’s wind contracts settle at.
