Contract Details
- Season count contracts settle on how many named storms, hurricanes and major hurricanes the Atlantic
basin records.
- Landfall contracts settle on a major hurricane, Category 3 or above, making landfall in a named region
or on land within 50 miles of its border.
- During a live storm the exchange lists a wind gust contract at each reference location in the storm’s
path, and one pool contract on which location records the storm’s highest gust.
- Storm positions, tracks, cones and formation odds come from the National Hurricane Center. The Central
Pacific outlook is issued by the Central Pacific Hurricane Center and is not in that feed.
